Symbiotic Neonates

Symbiotic Neonates

Team of 4
Spring 2019

An exploration of the relationship between a symbiotic system and the external forces that affect it. A user’s actions trigger observable responses, not only from the object of direct engagement, but also from the other objects in the system. Through this connection, the user indirectly interacts with other users. This ultimately serves to underscore the impact of one individual’s action on a larger connected system.

Created for the Alone, Together exhibition at the culmination of IPD 529: Design of Connected Objects and Experiences with 3 teammates. I contributed to the overall experience construction and product architecture development. For final fabrication, I designed and soldered the haptics circuit, and calibrated the outputs of the vibration and eccentric cam motors.
